My name is Yorrick Jansen, and I am an AI & Data Engineer. I work as a freelancer, offering AI and data solutions to a variety of clients across different sectors.

Most recently, I was the first engineer hired at a Voice AI startup, where I worked directly with the co-founders to build the technical foundation from the ground up. I designed and implemented the multi-tenant architecture enabling Voice AI agents to serve multiple hotel clients, owned the end-to-end development lifecycle, and led the critical transition from no-code/low-code workflows to production-grade code and APIs. I established AI engineering practices including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and quality assurance pipelines, while ensuring security, compliance (GDPR/FADP), and daily operations.

With 18 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and backend systems, I've worked across gaming, scientific publishing, automotive, finance, healthcare, and advertising technology industries. My track record includes designing and operating a white-labeled telemetry system for a portfolio of games at Phoenix Labs, spearheading Serverless and real-time data processing migrations at 1Science (later acquired by Elsevier), and consistently optimizing system performance while controlling costs and implementing robust security standards.

I'm an expert on AWS cloud architecture, data pipelines, and Serverless computing, with deep experience in technologies like Terraform, Pulumi, FastAPI, Pydantic and Spark. My expertise has been recognized through 3 AWS certifications and successful implementation of large-scale data processing systems that handle both batch and streaming workloads.
